Its motor is chain-driven and can handle bigger size and extra weight designed for riders ages 13 and up. If you think your kids are ready for some big-league action, then this is your best shot.

Range and Battery Performance

What is good about the Razor E200s electric scooter is that it comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, operating on a 24V power. There are 2 rechargeable 12V batteries with 12-hour minimum charge time, but if you want it fully charged, you have to complete the 24-hour charge time.

It also comes with a charging cable that you can plug into any 110 home outlets. After charging, you can start enjoying your Razor electric scooter

You can find the battery tray at the bottom along with the motor and control module. On the left side of the tray is where you can find a charger port, the on/off switch as well as the reset button.

The chargers also have built-in overcharge protection to keep your battery from overcharging. It is normal for the charger to get warm while in use though and should not be a cause for concern.

Design & Construction Quality

The Razor E200s electric scooter boasts of a taller, longer and faster specs. It comes in a 37x42x16 inches and weighs 40 pounds. It is built to carry kids or young adults alike. It is wide enough for kids to reach the handlebars.

Try not to exceed the 154 lbs maximum weight limit so the unit will not run slower than normal. If you cannot fit comfortably on the scooter, it means you should find a Razor scooter for adults that suit your build, height or weight.

This full-sized scooter is packed with a fast motor that not only offers high quality but is also a time-tested product at a reasonable price.

The pneumatic front and rear tires can manage even on rough surfaces but it is highly recommended for smooth, asphalt roads. You will also have better control and enjoy a smoother ride, thanks to its rear-wheel drive.

The E200S Razor scooter comes with a removable seat for a more versatile ride.

The flexibility it offers is something that consumers love. Imagine the fun of riding a Razor electric scooter while seated!  You can use it standing or sitting down, whichever suits your taste. Take it for a spin and impress your friends with this great addition.

Materials:

The materials used in manufacturing Razor electric scooter parts are of high quality. Since it is crafted with the rider in mind, you can expect that the all-steel frame and fork ensure product durability. In fact, the adult version of the Razor E200s is so durable that you may still use it for years.

The front and back tires are made of durable rubber. Expect a stiffness when you are riding due to its chain-driven motor and high torque.

Handlebar:

The handlebars are easy to reach, making it a perfect scooter of choice for kids ages thirteen and above. Just make sure to properly tighten the collar clamp to ensure that the handlebars will not dislodge while riding.

This might put you at risk of losing control of your scooter and fall. When riding, make sure to maintain your hold on the handlebar grip all the time.

Seat:

Only the E200S Razor scooter comes with a removable seat and a seat post.  You have to first assemble the handlebar and the seat for the E200s variant.

What you will need are two 4mm Allen wrench and a Phillips screwdriver to attach or remove the seat and seat post. You can then adjust the seat tilt, depending on your personal preferences. Completely tighten the screws once you have adjusted the seat for your comfort and safety.

Assembly:

The Razor electric scooters are 95% assembled and already packed at the factory. Thus, you should not have any issues even if you received a box with few dents and scars.

You will not have to worry about how to unfold a Razor scooter since this is not a foldable product. Only the E200s has removable seat for added variety.

Crafted in quality steel parts with the rider in mind, Razor electric scooter is easy to assemble. It also has an instruction manual that you can easily follow.

Before completing the assembly at home or even while doing any maintenance work, be sure to check if the power switch is turned off. You will spend at least 10 minutes to assemble, excluding the initial charging time of the unit.

Check your users manual to see if all the parts are available. Allen Wrenches are included in the pack and if you chose the E200s variant, you will also find Phillips screwdriver in the box.

Tires & Braking System

The Razor electric scooters have large 8-inch 200mm pneumatic front and rear tires that offer a smooth riding experience. It has a rear-wheel-drive so expect that you will have better traction, efficient control and maneuverability while smoothing out road bumps when riding.

Its zigzag patterned thread makes it very suitable for riding on paved and smooth surfaces. You can practically use it on any surfaces like grass and dirt roads, but the speed will be slower than when you ride on asphalt which can go up to 12+ mph (19km/hr). Also, the tires may wear easily when used on gravel.

It also has a rear disc brake system that offers positive braking action. Of course, you have to ensure the brakes are not rubbing and they are functioning properly. To avoid malfunctions, avoid twisting the brake cable and stay away from sharp bends.

Safety

It has a hand-operated rear brake system that offers a smooth and gradual stop when braking. Its relatively wide deck makes balancing much easier.

The manufacturer also designed the scooter to cut power to the motor when the handbrake is applied. You will not have to worry about your safety when using a Razor electric scooter for teenager and young adults.

Since this is a riding product, there are inherent hazards associated with its use. Even with safety equipment in place, a rider can still be seriously injured.

It is best to use your own common sense when riding and ride at your own risk. Make sure your kid knows how to balance first before they start to ride.

Be sure not to skid to a stop so you will not lose control and possibly damage the rear tire. Wearing the proper safety gear when riding is a good practice.

Brand & Customer Service

Razor (1) came into the limelight with the birth of their Model A Scooter. Because of its global success, they have captured the imagination of kids and kids at heart around the world.

Since 2000, the company has seen significant growth and became the worldwide leader in scooters. Their innovative design and unprecedented success in 2000 made them experts in the field of scooter innovation.

Razor aims to grow with its users — a bond strengthened by a mutual love for manual and electric scooters, including electric skateboards, hoverboards, and even turbo-powered heel wheels. In a world dominated by touchscreens, scooters are still relevant and help kids and adults have fun and adventure in style.

You can also enjoy its limited warranty of 90 days (2) for the Razor electric scooters from the date of purchase, provided that the product is not used other than its intended purpose, no changes have been made to the original parts and the product is not used as a rental unit.

For your convenience, it is best to keep your original sales receipt along with the product manual. Writing down the serial number directly on your product manual is a smart move. This will make shipping missing parts and product returns a bit easier. You can also check out their site (3) for more details.

Downsides

For a product that needs 24 hours charging time, the 40 minutes riding time is too short.

You will be happy with the brakes, but if you brake too quickly, you may be thrown out of the scooter.

You also need to charge the unit immediately once it is drained, with the power switch turned off. This prevents the battery from being damaged and to keep it from not holding a charge at all.

This particular model is not ideal for long-distance riding though, as the battery can only last for up to 40 minutes of continued use. Constant stops and starts can also decrease battery life.

Who Should Buy the Razor E200 and E200S Seated Electric Scooter?

This product is suitable for teens 13 years old and above. Even if you are an adult but you are still a kid at heart, you can definitely buy this product. Just be mindful of the maximum weight limit which is 154 lb (70kg).

It is easy to assemble and comes with an easy-to-follow instruction manual. If you have any issues, you can get a hold of their customer service representatives via phone or email. (4)

For a scooter within the low-tier price range, the Razor E200 electric scooter and the E200s, respectively, are definitely worth the investment.

Final Verdict

The E200 Razor scooter and the E200s never disappoint in terms of durability and performance.

You will not regret paying extra for the hand-operated rear brake that keeps you out of harm’s way. The E200s is also flexible, giving you the option to either sit or stand while riding your scooter for up to 40 minutes of continued use at a maximum speed of 12 mph (19 km/h).

We give it a rating of 3.67 out of 5 stars because it takes too long to fully recharge the battery. It would be great if the product has a headlight and Bluetooth speaker, too. They should also decrease the charging time without compromising battery life. In fact, this can be a good means of transportation if the battery life is extended for at least 2 hours.

If you have kids or if you are a kid at heart, indulge in a little bit of an adventure with electric scooters. For 40 minutes of riding, this should keep them active and having fun outdoors.
