The OXO Electric Scooter is said to be the older brother of the Inokim OX and offers the same superior ride quality, elegant design, and intuitive control but with increased power and range. This electric scooter is the most recent addition to the Inokim line of scooters.

In this Inokim OXO electric scooter review, we’ll take a closer look at what this amazing electric scooter has to offer. Let’s dive right in!

Speed and Power output

Inokim Oxo Speed and Power

One notable area where the Inokim OXO outperforms the Inokim OX is top speed. With a maximum speed of 40 miles per hour, the Inokim OXO is almost 50% quicker than its predecessor.

The scooter is outfitted with two 1000-Watt gearless hub motors, one for each wheel. With a maximum power output of 2000 Watts, the scooter’s maximum power can go up to 2600 Watts at its peak. The dual motors are responsible for this scooter’s incredible torque and ability to ascend. The torque seems to increase as you accelerate and we’re not complaining.

Range and Battery Performance

The range is indeed remarkable. It has one of the longest ranges of any electric scooter on the market today– with a range of 36 miles. This alone makes it a good investment.

The long-lasting range of the Inokim OXO, which felt bottomless to an experienced rider. Even with just one bar of battery remaining, the Inokim OXO can maintain its pace until the final stretch.

This scooter’s lithium battery is very efficient with a capacity of 1536 Wh and an operating voltage of 25.8 Ah and 60 V. It takes 13.5 hours to completely charge the scooter. You can charge the battery at least once a month and discharge it when riding.

Design & Construction Quality

Each Inokim model is a work of art in terms of both architecture and execution. They’re all lovely, exotic, well-coordinated, and polished, but they all seem to have quirks that some people can deal with and others can’t.

The OXO was created by Nimrod Sapir, a well-known scooter inventor, and designer. That is to say, charm and beauty are pre-installed. The rubber grips, suspension arm covers, and logos all scream luxury, high-end electric scooters.

‏Materials

Hard plastic has been used to build the deck. The deck is very wide and convenient, even though you travel with one foot in front of the other. It also resembles the shell of a dragon with its black scales. The stem and the handlebar are constructed with high-quality components such as aviation-grade aluminum alloy.

Handlebar

Although the curved handlebars are pointed away rather than towards the rider, they look pricey and perform well. Near the stem, the flat-palm hand grips are fixed, but not on the opposite end. Since they can flex when you’re riding, they don’t have as much protection for your hand as set flat-palm grips. The handlebar is not foldable which is good in terms of safety.

Foldable

This isn’t exactly a scooter you can take with you wherever you go. Yes, it is very easy to fold down but a little bit heavy to carry around. The stem locks on to keep it lightweight, but it is difficult to remove. It folds to a length of 48 inches, a width of 23 inches, and a height of 21 inches. Not exactly a portable scooter even when folded.

Assembly

The Inokim OXO will be delivered in a wide box that is almost fully assembled, with plenty of protection and security. It also comes with a charger, multikey Allen, and more. The cable connects the handlebar to the stem, so you’ll have to mount it yourself. Install it by setting it in place and tightening it using the Allen wrench.

You’ll still need to use the Allen hex key to install the rear mudguard. Folding and unfolding the scooter is more difficult than for cheaper ones, which is a positive thing since folding misfires is rare.

Tires and Braking System

Inokim Oxo Tires

The pneumatic tires significantly add to the ride quality and allow you to easily ride the scooter on a number of surfaces. They’re the same height as the other Inokim’s electric scooters, meaning they are proven to work and there is nothing to change. You can quickly replace them with offroad tires that are 10 inches tall and 3 inches thick.

The brakes on the Inokim OXO have two hydraulic Zoom brakes on both the front and back wheels. They can be adjusted, and Inokim advises doing so at the start of the assembly process.

The brakes can be extremely strong. Be sure to test them out before adjusting their level.  Another thing to keep in mind is that if you stop just with the front brake when riding really fast, the whole scooter can turn forward and the back end can go up into the air.

Safety

For a scooter that travels at this speed, a strong braking system is important. The front and rear wheels of the Inokim Oxo are equipped with dual hydraulic brakes. Before each ride, check the brakes and lean back a little while braking. On the handlebar, you can even change the height and rotation of the brake levers.

The general rule is to always wear your protective gear, particularly your helmet. We highly recommend that you practice using the e-scooter, especially if you’ve never ridden a scooter with this much power.

The Inokim OXO also has a cool feature where the lights will turn on automatically when it gets dark, which is pretty much unique for an electric scooter as powerful as this one. It also makes it safer for riders who ride in low-light conditions.

Brand & Customer Service

Since 2009, Inokim has been a big player in the electric scooter market. Nimrod Sapir, an engineer, product builder, and inventor turned entrepreneur, is the brains behind this brand. He has won several architectural and engineering awards.

Their strongest scooter is the Inokim OXO. This is one of the very few genuinely multinational scooter brands. They have an international presence in more than 50 countries, with offices and registered dealerships you can check out.

INOKIM’s designated store in the United States is FluidFreeRide. Shipping within the continental United States is free when you order from them. If you realize you don’t like the scooter after receiving it but before opening it, you can return it for a refund within 15 days if you pay for return delivery.

The 12-month warranty (1) covers manufacturer failures which include battery and electrical issues. If you have a concern or a query, call the customer care team through their email– [email protected]

Downsides

  • There isn’t an app for this scooter.
  • A bit heavy for an electric scooter.

Who Should Buy the  Inokim OXO Electric Scooter?

This is one of the strongest and most expensive electric scooters in the market today. If you have the budget for it, and you are an experienced rider looking for that high-speed, long-range experience, consider getting the Inokim Oxo. This scooter seems to be made for those who know just what they want and are up for a major boost.

Final Verdict

The Inokim OXO gathers a total of 4.2 over 5 on our rating board. This is pretty high compared to other competitors in its price range.

It’s a high-end, luxurious scooter that’s been meticulously built with a heavy focus on performance, usability, protection, durability, and efficiency. This is a durable, long-lasting electric scooter that you will probably ride for up to years without experiencing problems. Considering its price, it should last you a long time.

There isn’t such a thing as the perfect electric scooter, however, and the Inokim OXO has its share of weaknesses, but they are not very serious issues that you need to worry about.
