Apollo Pro Electric Scooter Review 2023: Best E-Scooter

There may be a lot of available performance electric scooters in the market but Apollo Pro versions introduced us to a new level of ultimate-performance and heavy-duty electric scooters. The Apollo Pro has defeated the fastest electric scooters to date and the acceleration has exceeded expectations, especially because speed came from a compact electric scooter. 

This monster of a scooter has capabilities that wowed many and have been commended by electric scooter enthusiasts because they have not experienced something like it before.

After my first-hand experience with the beast as they call it, I’ve put it upon myself to create a thorough Apollo Pro electric scooter review.

Speed and Power output

Apollo Pro is equipped with high-efficiency brushless 1000W motors that are placed at the front and the rear. The peak output can get to 1200W that converts to a top speed of 38MPH. In as fast as 2.8 seconds, the Apollo Pro reaches 15MPH and 30MPH in just 6.2 seconds. 

The torque and power, together with tough pneumatic tires will allow you to conquer any terrain and hills with a 40-degree incline. You can easily ride through them without losing speed.

Apollo Pro has three speed modes:

• Gear 1 –  Where you can reach a 15 MPH maximum speed
• Gear 2 – Has 28 MPH maximum speed
• Gear 3 – Has a 38 MPH maximum speed

Range and Battery Performance 

Using an LG battery that has 52V 22.5aH, the Apollo Pro covers 56 miles in eco mode. When you switch to full power mode, this beast can cover a 25-mile range.

For a high-performance electric scooter that can be ridden for sports, leisure, or daily commute, Apollo chose the reputable and leading cell battery provider, LG. Charging time takes 10-12 hours using a standard battery charger but the Apollo Pro has two charging ports so you can cut the charging time in half. A fast charger is also available for purchase, which would give a 4 to 5 hour charging time.

Design & Construction Quality

Apollo Pro is made of forged aluminum with black color and a touch of blue features. It’s designed with the Apollo LED display showing battery charge, distance, speed, etc. It comes with key riding configuration settings which allow you to choose between instant acceleration or kick-and-go.

The construction of this electric scooter assures safety and durability because Apollo used forged aluminum instead of the die-cast aluminum that is usually used on cheap electric scooters. It has a wide deck to secure your stance and to also give comfort while onboard the Apollo Pro.

Materials

The Apollo Pro is made for ultimate performance for riders up to 330lbs. in weight. Having a high weight maximum capacity may be a downside to other electric scooters in the market but not for the Apollo Pro. After testing this sweet ride hundreds of times, it easily carried 330lb. rider on smooth pavement and off-road courses without losing power and torque. With the forged aluminum frame, wide and safety gripped deck, pneumatic tires, rest assured that riding on different terrains is easy and comfortable.

Handlebar

The handlebar is made of thick resilient forged aluminum that has an Apollo LED display at the center. The throttle is placed on the handlebar, while the eco mode button and single motor button are on the left side below the handle. The keyhole and Apollo LED display, on the other hand, are on the right side of the handle. 

Foldable

The Apollo Pro is a compact yet powerful electric scooter. It’s not lightweight because of the design but it still passed the car trunk test. It has a ring lock mechanism that is fastened by two screw-on clamps. To fold it, you simply need to detach the ring lock then turn it and fold. When folded, the Apollo Pro’s dimension is reduced to just 50.4 x 26.7 x 20.6 inches.

Assembly

The Apollo Pro comes pretty much assembled with the exception of the handlebar. Installing it, however, is quick and easy. The scooter is shipped with a toolkit that will help you attach the handlebar. You don’t need to worry about using your Apollo Pro right after you finish installing the handlebar because Apollo always does three rounds of quality checks before delivering the scooter to your doorstep. Just be sure to read the manual carefully before riding.

Tires & Braking System

The Apollo Pro is built with 10 inches of pneumatic tires, enabling it to run on the street, bumpy roads, and just about any terrain. They feature dual spring shock absorbers, both in the front and rear, which lessens the impact of rough and unpredictable roads. 

One of my favorite safety features on the Apollo Pro is its regenerative braking system. It operates once the brake levers are pressed and activated by passing a reverse current through the motor. The braking distance in this system is 16.1 ft or 5 meters.

Safety

Apollo Pro is pro safety that’s why the brand made sure to enhance the braking system with the dual robust disc brakes. Aside from this, the manufacturer equipped the Pro with a regen braking method. It also comes with five lights designated on the front wheel, two on each side of the front deck, and two more on each side of the rear part of the deck. When you’re about to stop, the rear lights blink in order to alert vehicles behind you.

Who Should Buy the  Apollo Pro Ultra Electric Scooter?

This electric scooter may be pricey to look at first but when you take the time to examine the power and design it offers you’d realize what a great deal you’ll have. This Apollo Pro has the best value for money because it offers you the choice of traveling on smooth city streets and off-road areas. With the high suspension it provides, the speed it can reach, and the range it can cover, you can have the best of both worlds. I highly recommend this to both daily city commuters and road rush-seeking junkies.

Final Verdict

I give the Apollo Pro a 4.8/5 rating. 

Its top speed is unmatched by common electric scooters for commuting and still is powerful for off-road adventures. Its range is longer, batteries are made by the renowned LG company, design and features are on point and ergonomic, and the safety features reassure you of prudent travels in any terrain. It may need a little tweak on a few features such as the stand and mudguard. But overall, it doesn’t affect the quality performance of this beast. 

Apollo Pro deserves a near-perfect rating because what it can offer outweighs the minor design disadvantages. With its ultimate power, torque, safety features, and revolutionary braking system, the Apollo Pro is worth every penny.
