  • Exceptional acceleration

Cons

  • It can be a little costly

The Apollo Ghost is the ultimate entry-level quality electric scooter. It’s slick, trendy, and offers a powerful punch in terms of performance and ride comfort. This is one of Apollo’s strongest products on the market.

The overall dual motor speed is incredible, resulting in some incredible acceleration times. The forged aluminum structure, which provides greater longevity, contributes to the design’s sturdiness.

We were happily pleased to see so many high-end features packed into this magnificent model for a mid-priced electric scooter, from the elegant style to the powerful performance.

Given this information, this electric scooter seems like an excellent buy, but let’s check out the facts in this Apollo Ghost electric scooter review.

Speed and Power output

It has a maximum speed of 34 miles per hour, making it one of the fastest. Similarly, the 1600-watt brushless motor outperforms electric scooters from other manufacturers. Riders will accelerate from 0 to 15 mph in 3.1 seconds and from 0 to 25 mph in 5.3 seconds, making it ideal for dragsters and those looking for high-speed rides.

With this much strength and power, it’s no joke that the Apollo Ghost decimates hills with ease, overcoming inclines as steep as 25 degrees. Riders can select from three different gear modes, each with different degrees of speed and strength. Gear 1 has a top speed of 15 mph, Gear 2 has a top speed of 25 mph, and Gear 3 has a top speed of 34 mph.

Range and Battery Performance

The Apollo Ghost can travel up to 39 miles on a single charge. As with the rest of the Apollo line-up, the Apollo Ghost has a 52V 18.2 Ah battery pack of Dynavolt cells.

Now, mileage claims made in an electric scooter’s publicity materials should be treated with caution. Even so, the distance you will go on an e-scooter is determined by your weight, the terrain, and how much you accelerate.

Although the Apollo Ghost provides a thrilling ride and incredible capacity, it is low on charging time, taking up to 12 hours to charge from an empty battery. But you can cut the charging time in half with an optional fast charger. This model also features dual charging ports, enabling you to double your charge input while lowering your waiting time.

Design & Construction Quality

The Apollo Ghost has a sleek and modern look. It features a finely built hollow frame made of forged aluminum that provides durability without adding weight.

The latest single stem configuration has removed the distracting stem wobble that some other Apollo scooters were famous for. The Apollo Ghost’s lighting system is much better than that of other electric scooters. The Ghost has an abundant number of LED lights for safety.

Materials

The consistency of the forged aluminum used in this electric scooter is excellent, the wires are tightly tucked, and the anti-slip grip on the handlebar is of excellent quality. The Apollo Ghost electric scooter can accommodate a rider weighing up to 300 pounds, making it more than capable of taking a typical male adult.

Handlebar

The function for folding the handlebar is brilliant. Each handlebar on the Ghost has two flat-palm handles. They’re ergonomically designed to improve grip efficiency and are of excellent overall consistency. Around the outside of the handles, there is some texture, which can only help to save the palms from sliding any further.

For a more customized trip, they can be switched around to your taste. If you choose to use personalized handles, you can quickly remove and substitute them. You can potentially angle the handlebars differently depending on your needs. This is thanks to the special handlebar shape that allows around 2 inches of leeway.

Foldable

Except when folded, the Ghost has a built-in fold and lock system that keeps the stem fixed to the deck. This basic yet critical function makes it easy to carry and pick up the electric scooter.   This electric scooter is also ideal for commuters due to its completely foldable frame and handlebars, which greatly improve versatility and enable fast, simple, and compact storage.

Assembly

The Apollo Ghost comes almost entirely assembled, and the remaining work, which primarily consists of installing and tightening the handlebars into position, is straightforward and intuitive. It’s not that hard to assemble, since it comes with a manual.

Tires & Braking System

The two 10-inch pneumatic rubber tires are used on the Apollo Ghost, which greatly increases ride efficiency. They are large enough to easily overcome potholes, slight gaps in the asphalt, and the odd rock and dampen your trip beautifully.

Regenerative braking, which converts kinetic braking energy into battery power, is a wonderful feature that will help you go the extra mile. With an 8-foot stopping distance from 15 mph, the dual disc brakes have surprisingly responsive braking.

Safety

This electric scooter made by Apollo is also packed with plenty of safety features. The Ghost has two sensitive mechanical disc brakes that are set to different strengths by nature. Regenerative braking is also available on the Ghost and is triggered when the brake handles are pushed. This not only slows down the scooter when operating but also recharges the battery at the same time.

It also has two LED lights in the front and two LED lights in the back. They light your way when riding at night and keep you visible. This model has an IP54 waterproof rating, which means it’s resistant to dust and high-pressure water bursts, essentially shielding your battery from the elements.

Bluetooth

Unfortunately, the Apollo Ghost does not have Bluetooth features. The good news is that you won’t require a smartphone application because all of the functionality you’ll need is built-in and available from the handlebar.

Brand & Customer Service

Apollo is a manufacturer of electric scooters with several years of experience. They not only manufacture high-end scooters in their factory in Canada, but they also conduct research and development to further innovate their brands.

You’ll get a manufacturing 12-month warranty (1) and a seven-day-a-week service when you buy from Apollo. The Apollo Store also sells replacement parts and products, such as the Apollo seat. The Apollo Ghost does not come with a seat, so if you like one, you can purchase one separately.

You can contact their customer service if you have any questions. Use the live chat feature on their website (2) for quicker responses.

Downsides

  • Without a quick charger, it takes a long time to charge.
  • Air-filled or pneumatic tires are more prone to punctures.

Who Should Buy the Apollo Ghost Electric Scooter?

This electric scooter is made specifically for adults and youngsters who can manage to ride and operate this kind of e-vehicle. The deck-to-handlebar height must be between 39.8 and 42.1 inches. This means it will accommodate most tall riders but will also work for riders as short as 5’6″.

Young children would undoubtedly struggle with the stem height, but this electric scooter with a very powerful motor was obviously not designed for them in the first place. Overall, the handlebar height is suitable for the majority of adult riders.

Final Verdict

On our scoreboard, this electric scooter scored 4.6 out of 5 in ratings and it’s close to perfection.

As you can see, the Apollo Ghost has fewer drawbacks, which is due to the fact that the Apollo corporation has shipped over 10,000 electric scooters (which they said on their website) and knows what it takes to produce better electric scooters.

This scooter could be out of reach for some users, and although being relatively light, it should have been much lighter. The scooter’s IP54 water resistance level also ensures it can be ridden in moderate rain but not during a downpour. The Apollo team has put a strong focus on minor features, resulting in a long-lasting and dependable electric scooter.
